We saw Sarah Hall ’s front garden at her home in Champaign , Illinois , on Friday . Now it ’s time for the back ! whole different , but just as awesome .
Sarah says,“These picture feature various data-based areas of the back yard . One magnanimous challenge with the back yard was creating a space where we could sit down that felt like we had a fleck of privacy .
“ We are fair novel householder and move into an country with dead no trees , which was a difficult registration for me . I decided that I want to apply the back pack of cards to produce what could be a naturally close in seating area . I designed the pergola to have lattice with corner benches to close thing in a piffling , and make something for the trumpet vine to produce around .

“ I planted two Salmon River - colored yellow trumpet and one yellow one in the eye . Smell was also important so I decided to palisade the deck with lavender and tote up cobblestones to create a a molding . Once the horn vine took off we adjudicate to add bamboo blind on the east and west side so that we could have some coverage during sunrise and sundown if necessary . I paired the lavender with alyssum which filled in well , and finally spill over the cobble create a dainty border .
“ I liked the idea of creating some case of serene pathway leading off of the deck and also really like the thought of a wry creek . I had quite a bit of trouble deciding so I did a jazz band . I used beach pebbles and Irish moss to create a exuberant looking yet dry path . I lend fragrant white lilies along the itinerary to keep a nice look in the expanse and further down the way added sweet autumn clematis for its fragrancy and accrue flowering . These areas still have quite a spot of growing to do but I am look forward to their progress in the forthcoming time of year . ”
Yet again , beautiful . Thanks , Sarah , for sending in these picture !
