Today ’s photos come from Brooke Kroeger in Petersburg , Indiana . Brooke says , “ I ’m located in the James Jerome Hill of southwesterly Indiana , about 30 minutes from the Kentucky mete . We live on 7 land way out in the country on a 48 Accho lake . luck of woods , water system , wildflowers and animal life to delight .

“ Our farmhouse - expressive style home is 6 eld old , but the initial front border have been in place for 5 years … . since then I have play my way out . Last fountain I include a raised layer rose garden with new 35 roses . It has been a fantastic addition , with at least 10 salmagundi blooming at any given clip . I am an avid collector ; irises , daylilies , hydrangeas , roses , flowering shrubs , and recently rare coniferous tree and evergreens . With such a bad area to work with , it has been a challenge and a wonderful chance to take off with a white canvas to make a dream garden .

“ One matter I was blessed with is ROCKS ! We had 52 boulders when we dug our basement . If you drudge , you get a rock … . so I am constantly amending implant area as I inflate . We have a very unparalleled fire - pit rock garden that includes the majority of the largest boulder . One is large than a heavyset railroad car ! It looks like the scene of ‘ subsister ’ when we have a fire and light the tiki blowtorch … who knows who will be ‘ vote off the island’ … lol .

“ essentially , I am an ever - learning , avid plate gardener that shares her experience . I am passionate about my blooms , thrive to create long permanent , originative combinations that will prevail . My garden is derive together to a period that the fun part is now … editing … decorating … the threatening lifting is mostly in place … . it is the clip to enjoy it .
