I was down in Fort Lauderdale a few weekend ago go onThe Great South Florida Food Forest Projectwhen I ran into my friend Eddy … and remember his avocado tree .

This time I got picture and the whole story .
A friend of Eddy ’s had an avocado Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree that was highly productive and had borne many crop over the years . The man apportion his avocado with his family and friends ( which included Eddy . ) regrettably , this Quaker discovered he was dying of Cancer the Crab . Thinking before , he brought a small seedling from his avocado tree to Eddy and said “ Here , take this tree … maturate it for me . ”

Shortly afterwards , he exceed away .
Eddy , not being content with simply putting the tree in the ground , snuff it for some serious overkill on his planting of the now - sacred seedling . Here ’s what he did .
