Our video feature film visits one of the largest gardens : habitation to Mark and Debi Akin . Ed Fuentes and I taped it in May to get quick in time , but went back later for Ed to nab a few shots . By now , the pool lilies and summer plants will be in full golf stroke .   If you chat it in individual , too , you could see its transformation over the past few months .

I also commend watching this video in times of emphasis .   When I finished the edit and watched it back one last sentence , instead of hawking any mistakes I ’d made , I launch myself slowly , mildly , well relaxing . That ’s really strong for me , specially with a raw edit !

The only tour my garden could be on right now is the “ Neglected , Needs avail ” one . The plants put up a sign of the zodiac , “ Will ferment for rain . ”   Mainly , I just need to utilise some elbow grease .

I ’ve catch used to wearing my garden “ blinders ” so that I only focus on something wonderful , rather than all things not .   One is Crinum ‘ Ellen Bosanquet ’ . However , by 7:30 a.m. or so , the flower are already wilting and fade before they fully open . They keep coming , though , and the fragrance is heady !

I walk out for work one forenoon and rapidly stepped back in again for my camera .    The Butterfly fleur-de-lis ( Dietes grandiflora ) was back in business , but I knew by evening , it would have puckered up for practiced .

In the crepe bed , the Brazilian rock rose ( Pavonia braziliensis ) is still flowering a bit .   It would be more productive if I got out there and pruned off the seed heads .   This one does n’t get the powdery mold that plaguesPavonialasiopetala .

This althea picture is a few workweek old , but had to share it .

In the front bottom , I like my combination ofSetcreasea pallida‘Purple Heart ’ against the lime green shrimp plant .

chastisement from last hebdomad ’s post :   Scott Ogden take note that the flora I called St. Joseph ’s lily is actuallyHippeastrum‘San Antonio Rose ’ instead ofH. xjohnsonii .

Butterfly iris (Dietes grandiflora)

I felt like a goof , except that I ’d written down the name when I bought it .   He noted that he ’d seen it incorrectly tag at baby’s room . He also noted that it blooms in June / July , whileH. xjohnsoniiblooms in March and April .   I ’d wondered why it was so recent !   Anyway , he referred me to his ledger , Garden Bulbs for the South , for delineation and more information .

Until next week , Linda
