Beautiful flowers despite deer

We ’re visiting Moyra Bunger ’s garden today .

I live near Syracuse , New York , on the banks of Limestone Creek . I ’ve inhabit here for 34 years and have bask turn the property from a vacuous slate to a garden I hump . I spent many hours drag limestone rock and roll from the creek to edge my gardens , and built downcast rampart to raise some gardens up a spot . We get lots ofwildlifehere , so I have to fence myvegetable garden , but otherwise I seek to plant things thedeer do n’t really wish to eat .

Check out this overwhelming floral display from akousa dogwood(Cornuskousa , Zones 5–9 ) . Kousadogwoodscan be less telling when unseasoned , but as they get huge and matured like this , they are hard to beat .

This stunninglacecap hydrangea(Hydrangeamacrophylla , Zones 5–9 ) is in full bloom . It ’s hard to outsmart hydrangeas for floral display when they are happy .

Thefront gardenis overflowing with efflorescence . I ’m certain the dog does its right to keep the cervid off .
