Are you surprised that I got a kick out of herBunny Poo Express post ?   It ’s about one of her discharge to hale litter fromAustin ’s House Rabbit Rescue . As I well know , bunny poo can go at once into the garden without composting to sustain crop , like her artichokes .

Oh , on artichokes :   Ally recently bring forth newfangled transplants and pot up to 1 - gallon container . She prefers fall transplants over bare root in January , since it present them more clock time to maturate . ( Ditto that for planting trees and capitulation perennials ) .

retrieve out more about growing artichokes asDaphne ’s Pick of the Week .

At theTravis County Extension presentment gardens , they ’re a delight for food or flowers along with year - round foliar attending .   observe : they do need protection in a strong freeze .

Daphnealso shares her pet peeve : weeds in pavement or hardscape cracks . I ’m so with her .

Now , as she explicate , you could do the 10 or 20 % vinegar bit . normally , you ’ll have to get that percentage at nurseries , not the grocery store store . BUT , do n’t recall that ’s a agile fix . recover out why and how to head off the problem in the first place .
