Garden bounty almost too lovely to eat
Today we ’re visiting with Eva in southerly New Hampshire . ( See more on herInstagram . )
I ’m a 28 - class - honest-to-goodness mother of two . I ’ve been gardening for the last four year . I started off with a small 4 - groundwork - square garden layer and slowly expanded . Now I ’m not only gardening in my backyard , but I ’ve teamed up with my ma to grow efflorescence and vegetables at a community garden in Hudson , New Hampshire .
My basal motivation for horticulture is to feed my family local , constituent food throughout the yr . This is challenge , given that we live in Zone 5B , but we have started learning how topreserve foodfor the winter months .

My favourite crop to grow are super C ( collard , kail , amaranth , Swiss chard , mustard greens ) , tomatoes , Madagascar pepper , and Cucumis sativus . A late favorite iszinnias . I was reluctant to grow flowers because it was such unfamiliar territory , but I ’ve come to get it on them . Plus , they attract bee , hummingbirds , and otherpollinators !
A set of what I ’ve learned about gardening has been from my mommy . She ’s an avid gardener who is n’t afraid to take prospect and try new things . She has an abundant amount of soundness . Gardening has given us the opportunity to bond in ways we never could have reckon , and I ’m so glad to have family I can apportion this experience with .
I ’ve also benefit so much cognition from the online gardening community , specially Instagram . I ’ve met so many kind , knowledgeable , wise , and gifted individual who have so much to share and give the best advice .

Lastly , I ’d wish to give a big shout out to my husband . He has motivated me , aid me on countless projects , put up with my caper , and bear out me every step of the way .
My goal for the time to come let in hear moresustainableways of turn food for thought . I would also love to someday work on a farm and down the line to own a farm .

This unusual love apple , ‘ Brad ’s Atomic Grape ’ , is not only beautiful ; Eva also says it is by far the best - taste tomato she ’s ever try on .
