A simple garden gives so much

Today ’s photos derive from Diane in Nova Scotia .

I have been gardening for a long time , 20 years or so . I used to make for at a nursery , and that got me hooked . Here in Nova Scotia , we are Zone 5a/5b with a few microclimate zones in shelter area . My garden has supply me with many hours of work , playfulness , liberalisation , and therapy . We live in a heavily wooded area with lots of wildlife who deal our garden . Remember to plant superfluous veggies , because the deer will crunch on some !

My island seam with a variegate ‘ Hakuro Nishiki ’ willow tree(Salix integra‘Hakuro Nishiki ’ , Zones 5–7 ) , purple wolfsbane(Aconitumsp . ) , and weep mulberry(Morus alba‘Pendula ’ , zone 4–8 ) .

This clematis was mislabeled as ‘ Jackmannii , ’ but I ’m not sure what it actually is .

This daylily ‘ Ed Murray ’ ( Hemerocallis‘Ed Murray ’ , Zones 3–9 ) is a lovely bootleg - red ink with a green pharynx . ( For gardener in hotter clime , note that daylilies of very dark colors often bet their best sited where they get a small shade in the afternoon . )

My golden hops vine(Humulus lupulus‘Aureus ’ , Zones 5–8 ) . I absolutely make out the shiny lime light-green color . Too big I do n’t care home - brew beer !

I rescue this rose from the greenhouse meth and nursed it back to living . Yummy bubblegum pink !

I call the front of my house my tangled garden . The big blanched perennial is a clean fleeceflower(Persicaria polymorpha , Zones 3–9 ) .
